Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 28, 2026. This policy describes what information aldomedia.org collects and how it is used. The site is operated by AldoMedia, LLC. (doing business as AldoMedia Computer Repair), 656 N French Rd #2, Buffalo, NY 14228.
What We Collect
If you submit our contact form, we receive the name, phone number, email address, and message you type in. That information is emailed to us so we can respond, and it is also saved to a private file on our own server so a message can never be lost to an email problem. Both copies are used only to answer you. The stored copy is not reachable from the web, and we delete it once an enquiry is closed. We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information with anyone.
Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting, as virtually every website does. These logs are not used to profile visitors.
Cookies
This site sets only essential, first-party items needed to make it work, such as remembering that you dismissed our cookie notice. We do not run advertising cookies or third-party analytics, and nothing here follows you to other websites. We do measure our own traffic, in a way that sets no cookie at all; the next section explains exactly how. If anything else changes, this policy will be updated first and consent will be requested where required.
Website Statistics
We count visits to our own pages so we know which ones are useful. The measurement is first-party and self-hosted, meaning it runs on this server and sends nothing to any outside company. It sets no cookies and uses no local storage, so there is nothing to consent to and nothing to clear.
Your IP address is never stored. It is converted one-way into a short code using a secret key, which lets us tell one visit from another without keeping anything that identifies you, and that code cannot be turned back into an address. Alongside it we record the page, the rough country or city the request came from, your browser and device type, and where you arrived from. We do not build profiles, we do not track you across sites, and we have no way to connect this to your name unless you contact us yourself.
If you prefer not to be counted at all, any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics requests will stop it, and the site works exactly the same either way.
Third Parties
The contact page includes an embedded Google Map so you can find our shop. Loading that map is a request to Google and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. No other third-party services run on this site.
Data From Repairs
Computers brought in for service often contain personal data. We access customer data only as needed to perform the work you asked for, we do not browse or copy your files beyond that, and recovered data is destroyed from our equipment after delivery according to your preference. See our data destruction page for disposal options.
Your Choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by calling 716-771-2536 or using our contact form. We honor these requests for all customers, not just where a specific law requires it.
Children
This site is a local business website intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
