New MacBook, iMac, or Mac mini Configured the Way You Want It
If you bought a new Mac and want it set up properly, with your data migrated, software installed, accounts configured, and the various Apple ecosystem services working correctly, we can handle that. We're a drop-off computer repair shop in Buffalo, NY, and Mac setup is regular work for us, especially as customers replace older Macs with current Apple Silicon models.
The Mac setup story is generally cleaner than the PC story because Apple controls the experience end-to-end. Apple Silicon Macs come with macOS already installed and configured for first-boot setup. Migration Assistant handles most data migration cleanly. iCloud handles most cross-device synchronization automatically. The reasons customers want help: completing the migration thoroughly (including app reauthorization, license activation, settings that don't come across automatically), addressing the few apps that need updates for Apple Silicon, configuring Apple ecosystem services (Family Sharing, Find My, Continuity features), and getting the old Mac wiped securely after migration is verified.
We service every current Mac line: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro (13-inch, 14-inch, 16-inch), iMac (24-inch Apple Silicon), Mac mini, Mac Studio, Mac Pro. Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4 across configurations) and Intel Macs (still common for customers who haven't upgraded yet).
Our general new computer setup page covers both platforms. Our PC new computer setup page covers Windows machines.
